Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts
Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts supports 12 designated religious denominations only in the following counties of North and South Carolina: Alamance, NC; Cabarrus, NC; Pickens, SC; Rowan, NC and York, SC.
The designated denominations are: AME Zion, Baptist, Church of God, Episcopal, Evangelical Lutheran (ELCA), Free Will Baptist, Lutheran Churches (LCMS), Pentecostal Holiness, Presbyterian Churches, United Church of Christ, United Methodist Church.
Denominational eligibility is communicated directly to each denomination whose responsibility is to notify churches within their district.
Non-denomination churches and “Independent” churches are not supported by the Trusts.

The Cannon Foundation is an endowed, general purpose grant-making foundation that accepts unsolicited requests from eligible 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations as described elsewhere on this website. Its primary geographic focus is North Carolina.
